Recently, we are heard of American troops marching towards Ukraine from Poland and Moscow may launch a missile attack any time soon. What’s the conflict all about? In March-April 2021 when the world was disturbed by the second variant of the Covid-19 Delta, Russia transported all their arms and ammunition to their occupied area of Crimea which is 17km away from the Ukrainian border.

The intelligence agency Janes informed Ukrainian that even Batallion Tactical Group (similar to NAVY SEALS) are marching towards Ukraine to make the Ukrainian government Volodymyr Zelensky topple and capture Ukraine like what Saddam Hussein did to Kuwait by toppling Jaber III government in August of 1990. Volodymyr Zelensky also had bilateral talks with Joe Biden, president of the USA to accept their request for NATO membership. Their request is still pending as of 6th February. It’s ironic that Russians sent their 1.75 lakh troops to Crimea and condemned the fact that Ukraine sent 1.25 lakh troops to fight pro-Russian separatists. The NATO allies gave their personal assurance to protect Ukraine if Russia invades further.

On 17th January, the British intelligence agency Secret Service or popularly known as MI6 informed Ukrainians that the Russians sent their 25,000 troops to Belarus for a joint East Bloc military exercise from which India withdrew. On 26th January 2022, NATO sent ship, fighter jets to Ukraine.

The DC said that 8,500 troops were on alert. On 2 February 2022, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko condemned a US initiative to send more troops to Europe, in support of NATO allies in the wake of the escalation of conflict between Russia and Ukraine. He described it as a “destructive” and “unjustified” step that will only increase the tensions. On the 5th of February 2022, the Russian dispatched 2 long-distance nuclear missiles plane for patroling from Belarus through Ukarine in midst of tension.

Even now the Top White House official informed that Russia could invade Ukraine anytime now as Russia started to even march their reserve forces which is a new signal of World War 3.

A top White House official warned on Sunday that Russia could invade Ukraine “any day,” launching a conflict that would come at an “enormous human cost”. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan’s statement came after the US officials confirmed that Russia has assembled at least 70 per cent of the military firepower, and it likely intends to have it in place by mid-month, to give President Vladimir Putin the option of launching a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

“If war breaks out, it will come at an enormous human cost to Ukraine, but we believe that based on our preparations and our response, it will come at a strategic cost to Russia as well,” Sullivan said. Sullivan did not directly address reports that the White House has briefed lawmakers that a full Russian invasion could lead to the quick capture of Kyiv and potentially result in as many as 50,000 casualties as he made appearances on Sunday talk shows.

A full-blown conflict in the region could be catastrophic — causing unprecedented human suffering and economic shock. It would also cause the realignment of geopolitical forces in the region. A Russian invasion would also mean a toppling of an elected government in an eastern European nation due to foreign invasion. The suppression of Ukraine through warfare would mean Sweden and Finland joining forces with NATO and the US, a big blow to Russia. Russia’s $600 billion in its central bank reserves means that it would survive any economic sanctions by western forces in case Russia does decide to charge towards Ukraine.

A limited invasion or a cold war by Russia could, however, claim several casualties on both sides. Russia choosing other means of suppression like throttling supply of piped gas or hiking prices of metals, of which it is a big source of and hiking price of wheat, could mean adverse effects on Ukraine’s and European economy. Putin could push to probe into NATO’s collective security pact with help from Russian security forces in Belarus. As per the pact, an attack on NATO members means an attack on all.

A Russian invasion of Ukraine could encourage China to make a move on Taiwan, something the US and other western forces have been trying to deter. An invasion would also mean Putin’s undoing — the wise thing for Putin to do would be to back down.

If USA and Russia have a face off at the battleground of Ukraine, it would turn into a new World War which will definitely cause much destruction to World Economy.
